5428 Litigation Executives – Credit Hire

We are looking for Litigation Executives (Solicitor/CILEX/Litigation Executive or Paralegal) to join one of the top 20 Law firms in the UK at their attractive, contemporary office in Trafford, Manchester. They are growing, and there is more than one role available.

The firm need more Litigation Executives to work in the Credit Hire Department and Credit Hire Technical Team. They deal with insurance cases where a replacement vehicle has been hired and there are fraud indicators leading them to investigate individuals, credit hire companies and beyond, to determine the genuine nature of the claim and challenge where necessary.

Successful applicants will predominantly be handling their own case load of small and/or fast track claims, and in some cases (dependant on experience) multi-track cases. the Manchester team handles some of the highest value and most technically complex credit hire cases, some exceeding £50K. They may include appeals, credit hire fraud and strategic litigation, so the role represents a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to high quality, interesting and challenging work. There will also be opportunities to help shape strategy and for contact with insurer clients.

Successful litigation executive applicants will have:

  • Credit Hire experience – Preferable
  • Defendant experience – Preferable
  • LPC – Preferable
  • Experience running a litigated case load of small claims and fast track cases– Preferable
  • Experience running a litigated case load of multi-track cases – Desirable
  • Client-centric approach and excellent client care skills – Essential
  • Experience of communicating and working with clients – Essential
  • The ability to run an effective diary system – Essential
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills – Essential
  • Knowledge of the CPR, the SRA Code of Conduct and their application – Essential
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal – Essential
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure – Essential
  • The ability to adhere to SLAs – Essential
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team – Essential
